James Sheppard

James Sheppard is an accomplished Audio Production Professional with nearly thirty years of experience in audio production.

James began in 2007 as a leading Audio Engineer in the greater Williamsport, Pennsylvania region, having worked with such clientele as the Pennsylvania College of Technology, the Lupus Foundation of Pennsylvania, and the Community Arts Center in Williamsport, PA.

James recently founded Luna Media, an audio production firm specializing in the rapidly advancing field of spatial audio.

One may ask... what does he do?

James demonstrates his production ability in Luna Media’s latest advertisement, “What Do You Hear?” which beckons all to explore their imaginations and find their sound. It turns out, the only thing he currently doesn’t do is camera work. As for the rest…

He composed, arranged, and performed every note of music on each instrument – recording every track in his private studio. The graphic design, motion graphics, VFX… that’s all him. He directed his featured guest-star on her first voice over session. Mixed, mastered, signed, sealed, and delivered.

By licensing only the live action video assets, he wanted to show that he can not only perform high caliber production work – audio and video – he understands how it all goes together, from top to bottom.

Oh yeah. And he’s in charge of all our creative too.

With his extensive knowledge of audio production, James served as a Technical Consultant for Angry Gam3rs in the release of Rofaxan 2089 AD, a video game reaching the top 150 on Xbox Live Indie Games in Q4 2013. James has also developed a novel method for simulating and visualizing specific aspects of indoor acoustics and has applied the method successfully to aide in the acoustic treatment of private recording studios.

James started professionally in 1997 as an On-Air Radio Personality with Mortenson Broadcasting and was mentored by the legendary Geoff Sturm. While furthering his studies in recording technologies and acoustics, James was an active musician as well as Live Sound Technician for various venues in the Huntington, West Virginia area.
